[ http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRRESOURCES-2?page=comments#action_82657 ] Jason van Zyl commented on MRRESOURCES-2: -----------------------------------------
Let's pick a convention for appending. What do you think the file should be named if you want it appended. Something like: 1. If a resource exists with the same name then the project wins, and the MMRP won't generate the content 2. If a resoruces exists with the same base name + XXX (some extension) then append to the generated content What would you like the convention to be? What you choose will be used forever! :-) > Support an "append" mode for local resources > -------------------------------------------- > > Key: MRRESOURCES-2 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRRESOURCES-2 > Project: Maven 2.x Remote Resources Plugin > Issue Type: New Feature > Reporter: Daniel Kulp > Assigned To: Jason van Zyl > > Once the NOTICE creation works correctly with the velocity templates, we'll > need a way to "augment" the NOTICE file that it creates. There are a bunch > of missing poms or poms with incomplete data (missing URL's, etc...). It > would be nice to have a mode where, if there is a file in > src/main/resources/META-INF/NOTICE, that data is appended to the generated > NOTICE file instead of completely replacing it. That way, the project can > add the additional information that the plugin may not be able to provide. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list please visit: http://xircles.codehaus.org/manage_email
