SebbASF commented on MVERSIONS-230 display-*-updates: Default to ignore spurious SNAPSHOT versions Whether they are actual snapshot versions or not, they clearly don't fit the standard Maven numbering scheme. And more to the point, they break the version number checking. I suspect some of them were accidentally uploaded. I did not find any ones with recent dates, so I suspect they were uploaded before Maven Central was better protected by staging software such as Nexus.
