Try running mvn with '-U' to make Maven update all its plugins. And try it a few time to see if maybe it just couldn't download something it needed. Sometimes ibiblio.com is briefly unavailable. Additionally, if you use -X on the command line, Maven will print even more information than it already does-- this is useful for tracking down unwanted transitive dependencies. -- Wendy
