This thread seems to have died down. I've tried to start a new thread on a related proposal I've come up with while thinking about how to integrate MyFaces into geronimo, the subject is "Proposal for annotation processing" and there's a related jira issue https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-1559
