We should probably get serious about at least documenting the big "gotchas" of the faces plugin. I've started a subsection at http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/Trinidad_Plugins so we at least have somewhere to put this sort of info. Andrew, stuff like this that you discover would be great additions.
