Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe your problem is due to the fact that tr:table is a naming container and so you have to use a fully qualified id, in your case "tb10:categories", for the components outside the naming container. I am wondering that why it doesn't respond in the second table. One more important thing is, if I put <tr:commandButton ...../> tag in first table itself then it works fine.
