Werner Punz commented on MYFACES-2585:
--------------------------------------

It is complicated, basically you have to remap some to preserve them for
the dom and then unmap them on the javascript side and do some CDATA statement
suppression on other parts.
Still working out the details to get it really right.

> ajax doesn't work if target contains script with CDATA

> This doesn't work:
> <h:inputText value="#{numberBean.myNumber}">
> <f:ajax render="test" />
> </h:inputText>
> <h:panelGroup id="test">
>
> <h:inputText value="#{numberBean.myNumber}" />
> </h:panelGroup>
> But this works fine:
> <h:inputText value="#{numberBean.myNumber}">
> <f:ajax render="test" />
> </h:inputText>
> <h:panelGroup id="test">
>
> <h:inputText value="#{numberBean.myNumber}" />
> </h:panelGroup>
