For information, stats are available for several languages here, on a daily
download basis :

How can I get stats for our lang (sl) builds to this list (and to the other one that Charles posted)? We have one site for downloads (http://sl.openoffice.org/prenosi.html )

For the osuosl stats, once your QA finished, you have to ask Joost through an issue to upload the versions to the bouncer, then the log will be generated automatically by the osuosl links of your version.

For the dashboard, if I remember well, I think that Frank Mau has uploaded a script on our download page to retrieve the hints. I think, but I'm not sure, that the more representatives are the osuosl one because this is really downloads.

Both the bouncer and the stats page need to be expanded, that is, sources and data from every native-lang projects out there need to be "plugged" to them. That being said -and hopefully in the process of being done, thanks Sophie for the help- I am coming back to the original idea of communicating on the numbers of dowloads, wether on blogs or in the press in general. So I would like to ask if you feel you have some interesting numbers related to downloads or distribution. The idea is to come up with some strong numbers and then advertise them.

Thanks,

Charles-H. Schulz.
