Hi Charles and Alexandro,
Sorry I have not think about that. If we do that we will be noticed
for the day that Internet Stoped :P
And sure we have better numbers. In Brazil FF use 20% of our server.
OOo use 70%. Alot more downloads.
Regards,
Marcus

Well big difference is the filesize of course. Also I will still
be a bit suspicious if the servers get jammed or not. I remember
when we released 2.3 we got 2 days with very jammed servers/mirrors.

Can we do better than Firefox??

Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox
3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software
downloads in 24 hours - it's that easy. We're not asking you to
swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although
that would be kind of awesome.
By the way, the official date for the launch of Firefox 3 will be
posted here soon - so check back! Join our community and this
effort by pledging today.

You'll find me monomaniac, but we do already have some very nice
numbers (although we're far from FF). This is why we need to
communicate on them, hence my suggestion several days ago :-) ...
best,
Perhaps one day we'll be able to set a new guiness world record :-) .
But once again, let's share and publish our stats numbers. For
instance, let's talk about BrOffice.org servers. 70% of the server's
downloads are great, but how many downloads does this amount to?
Thanks,
Charles.
