In general I'd say that we need all kinds of data. However, it should be noted that the data you're mentioning may not be readily available or even reliable. We could do with gross numbers though. Applying this to the segmenting of the OOo distribution per language then it will be perhaps difficult to obtain. So I don't know: you have a good idea but I had refrained to request this kind of data as I think it's a bit hard to get.
