Unfortunately not that I know of. For the last few releases we've linked betas directly from the build server. Did you try vc1? And did that download quicker? As far as I know, the dist/dev server isn't mirrored either, but if it's quicker we may need to consider using it for betas again in future. Unfortunately that will add some work to producing betas.
