The number of files is huge because for every language it contains hundreds of translated Bundle files. We could merge only those languages which have been asked about on this list, but taking the german (de), spanish (es), japanese (ja) and swedish (sv) folders in the "src" subdirectory would already amount to 26921 files and 109 MB.
