Type "mvn install" and the internet downloads automagically. Honestly, this is the primary reason I use maven on my projects. Being able to add a single dependency and have maven suck down all the rest. I tolerate it for that reason. I find it unwieldy, I find it slow, I find it expensive. But it works for my lazy gene, and I can send a pom.xml and a 10 line sample java file to a friend, and they can build it quickly even if it needs to pull down half the internet in dependencies. That said, we shant discuss the crushing expense of downloading the Maven index and unpacking it...
