I've had a look at doing that in https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/6496 The artefacts are at https://github.com/apache/netbeans/actions/runs/6328665359 There's now a source bundle that is also consumed by the various native builds (prove it's all there!) What do you think? Probably needs some more work to be releasable? Right approach / wrong approach?
