Hey Glenn, it is not that I want to Switch the design because the designer says it, it is becausee I like it. I like the new flat, modern stuff. It is not with much stuff blurred which is not needed. Of Course before flat and material I liked the web 2.0 design, it was fancy, nice but now, it is not contemporary anymore, maybe in 10 years again? I think it happens in that case how you do stuff. And if you have to look at the netbeans.org page it is old, it is Standing still in the 90s sry but it is so. The logo too. And the splashscreen could be better too. The flat stuff was only a proposal for me, because i like flat, sure I can live with a Background, if they Looks nice, but the current splash Screen are not my favorites so we should come up with smth new. Other Colors, other Fonts, etc.

The NetBeans splash images have always been artful and inventive. Don't go with the "modern" "flat" look just because designers are telling us it's fashionable. We aren't using 4.77MHz PCs any more, it's OK to use a nice-looking image. -- Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) "After the vintage season came the aftermath -- and Cenbe."
