I have no vote in this matter, but as a member of the IPMC I want to state how I would vote if I did:
I would vote -0... I am somewhat concerned about how the NB's PPMC defines and awards merit. Merit is based on what people do, and have done. Not based on expected or anticipated effort. Also, adding people right now, right on the cusp of graduation also seems... strange. If they warranted membership, why weren't the added previously? Why not graduate w/ the current PPMC and then, right after graduation, vote on new members?
