The screenshots page is now OK.
I did not use the gallery macro but simple images.
I removed from the page the original gallery macro code since I did not find
hot to comment it in place.
In any case I saved it adding it to the comment I put in the page change.

Yes, this looks to be a bug in the gallery plugin that ships with
Confluence. You can file a bug in the Confluence project
(recommended) and optionally file a bug in the actual plugin project:

To better ensure success, you can check out the source [1] and submit
a patch. I have the verbal word of a Conf dev he'll apply the patch
and roll a release for you :)
