[~adri...@hlmksw.com] I also share some of [~lektran]'s concerns: as I
mentioned earlier the conversion framework here adds an additional layer of
abstraction and complexity to client code that could be unnecessary and could
make it difficult to leverage the features of the JSON library we will pick.
