That's fine. I agree with David Jones that the current pattern of doing 
everything though static methods in Java utility classes that are scattered 
everywhere makes the framework difficult to use. I hoped we could use this 
opportunity to craft an elegant and flexible solution, but I will step back and 
let you proceed as you see fit.
