Right Scott all good points. So we should have some kind of plan that says once the migration is complete then we will do X Y and Z. For example, we will update the XSD files to disable list forms, split the backend themes and templates to have a separate HTML output for each widget type, so on and so forth.
What I saw was an incomplete picture of just switching forms to grids randomly. I don't remember discussing in the community for everyone to stop writing any list forms (and I remember more being added / changed lately). So maybe we need to agree on that as well. A project like this one requires a coordinated effort to get the value out of it, because without a full switch there is no value right? Anyway, things are more clear now, but I recommend we layout a plan instead of just cruising. Maybe put the action points in a JIRA or something.
