After a long 10 years, the board will likely be voting to move Apache Olingo to the Attic at our meeting next month. Thanks to all those who have contributed to this ASF project over the years!

What this means in practical terms is that the Apache Olingo project will be turned read-only at it's existing URLs - code, websites, mail archives, everything. While that shutters the active community here at the ASF, all the resources are available for anyone who wants to fork them, and users are free to continue using the software or improving it themselves.

For perspective: the ASF requires that PMCs have at least three active PMC members, such that (for example) someone would notice if a vulnerability were reported, and that the PMC could then make a release with any needed fixes. This is important, because end users expect that any "Apache GoodStuff" project would at least provide a basic level of security or other major fixes if needed.

Thanks especially to the PMC members who have done the extra work in past years to manage the project and make formal releases.
