Hi Shane and all reading here,

Sorry for my late reply, but I had some serious private issues that resulted in
slow response time and not enough time in the last half year to drive the
Olingo project (this shouldn't be an excuse, but an explanation).
Unfortunately, there were also no other PMCs left, which made my part not
easier.

Over the last six months, I also considered moving Olingo to the attic (and
mentioned it in the last board reports).
I think it is the right decision, but as it is now real, it feels a bit too
early (and I have a small tear in my eye).

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed being part of the Olingo project, driving it and
keeping it (somehow) alive in the last years.
And BIG Kudos to everyone who contributed to the project and is still active
and interested.

One last question, would it be possible to do a last release before the repo is
set to 'read only'?
I wanted to do the Olingo V2 release in version 3.0.0
(https://github.com/apache/olingo-odata2/pull/58), before the final move to the
attic.
I started working on it more than half a year ago. But first, I struggled with
the new GitHub Actions based release process, second there was no response from
any PMC member
(https://lists.apache.org/thread/496wz49qzwc2gm8fybt803jz9kfmgljb) to the
voting, and finally, I did not have enough spare time (because of the private
reasons mentioned), so I never finished it.
However, it would be nice to have it.

Let me please know if it would be possible, and I would then spend time on it
the last weekend in January.

Kind Regards, Michael
