Again the answer is version-dependent.
OData 4.0 requires interoperable clients to follow redirects, see requirement
#4 in
http://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.0/cos01/part1-protocol/odata-v4.0-cos01-part1-protocol.html#_Toc372793762.
OData 2.0 is silent on this matter, but some prominent server frameworks
produce redirects, so many clients expect and resolve them correctly.
