[dropping private@ and user@ CC's]

Hi Mike,

In general, it's not a good practice to CC public and private lists as it skews 
the mail list
archives, and also hides conversation that is public. All ASF conversation is 
public, with
the small exception of personnel discussions, etc.

I've moved this thread over to dev@ so feel free to continue it there, or 
perhaps Brian's
answer was sufficient and we're good?
