Procedure: (a) checked the contents of the source (and binary) artifact, (b) verified the signature of the release manager, (c) ran a local build of the project via the src artifact of this release candidate (=> passing), (d) checked the corresponding Eval build results, and (e) ran a couple of RC verification tasks with the my own software components relying on OpenNLP.
