It should not be necessary to reinstall OpenOffice. The Quickstarter is a feature of OpenOffice that starts automatically when you start your computer so that launching OpenOffice will appear to happen more quickly. Since it is running, OpenOffice is still on your computer. What leads you to think that OpenOffice has disappeared? You do not say what operating system you are using, so I will guess it is Windows. If you have a Windows Start button (typically at the lower left of your screen), click that and select All Programs. Scroll down the list that appears until you see a folder called OpenOffice 4.1.2. Click on that and then click on the component of OpenOffice you want to start. I hope that helps. A better place to get user support than this mailing list is the user forum. The English forum is at https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/index.php Best regards, Francis
