selected print range ignored

I have a problem with printing from my Open Office spreadsheet. 1. I select a 
range to print. 2. I select print preview and I t is displayed. 3. I select 
file print and in the page layout option that is displayed all pages of the 
spreadsheet are selected for printing and that is what prints. I cannot print 
my selected print range. Please help.
