Hello all,

it is quite some time when this has been discussed.

I am happy to report that i have managed to create first steps on the way to a new extension website.
Once extensions are handled, templates will be similar approach.

Currently we have an static export of pages from the Drupal instance. The plan is to stick with the static page layout, but use pelican generation from a git repository to build the pages.

The extensions will be still stored on the sf.net page. A extension maintainer can then add / Change a extension page by updating a markup file with the necessary information.

The Export is quite a mess. I am astonished that it works at all. creating a HTML template from it is not the easiest thing. So i am slowly step by step building a new template that tries to reproduce the old layout.

I have started with a basic local setup and currently I assemble header, footer. Extension Description is the followup step,  and then some simple menus like tags and category.

I have seen that there is a search plugin, i will try to add that one in the first version.

I de-scoped rating and comments from the extension page. Maybe that is something we can do in the forums?

All the best

Peter
