I am not a Gtk expert, but Pedro's e-mail probably contains the real reason: our build system for AOO41X is outdated and does ``something wrong'', that does not happen if you build the AOO41X sources on a newer Linux system. Something similar happened, and was reported and fixed, relative to SELinux. I don't know if we can fix these theming issues at a code level as well. The reason I started this thread, is to indicate in our release notes what are the steps to fix this behavior when using our official binaries on modern distros.
