Hi Juergen

Our docbook filter hasn't the quality to use it in production, maybe some volunteers are interested and like to work on improvements of the filter.

We at inDesko wroked on ooo2dbk framework, i announced last year
you may find here in french for the most up to date version
http://www.indesko.com/sites/fr/telechargements/ooo2dbk/view
(the svn contains english too and much uptodate iirc)

i give the english link too
http://www.indesko.com/sites/en/downloads/ooo2dbk/view
(the svn adress is not up todate - sorry)

we are actually working at spare time on the opendocument support (well, i bit staleld at this moment) the project would be boosted if we find customers but i think this is a basis - Obviously this is free software :-)

I am personal are flexible but i don't want to loose the support of Sun's documentation department which of course can be a big help to create a professional guide.

sure !

We also thought about a transformation into the wiki but it is not yet clear how we can extract the relevant info from the wiki to prepare a usable guide (e.g. PDF) as we can it currently. Although a wiki would have some advantages we currently prefer a different format.

a wiki would be cool yes and is setup for collaboration work
retreiving the content is quite easy i think (but i've never done)

saying it's "easy" is easy ;-), i know that it is possible to extract data and create for example a PDF. But the output isn't comparable to what we have at the moment. Show me a working and satisfying solution and we can discuss it.
