We have a known problem that happens on some Linux versions with some file systems and it is related to file locking problems. Please try to set SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING=0 in your environment (or in the shell script that starts OOo, perhaps it's set to 1 there already). Does that help? > Running a pure 32 bit system everything works fine. I am quite happy to > plod on and try to identify where things go wrong but that brings me to > my second problem. If OOo reports an error on storing there was an error when OOo accessed the file system. Can you find out which error was reported by the file system?
