I built early dev versions of 3.0 with Visual Studio 2008 (paid for
version), but it did not build with Visual Studio 2008 Express (free
version) for the reasons stated above. I suspect the situation is still
the same as the problem is with missing compiler/sdk components that
cannot be freely downloaded.
