  Hi,

I am new to Open Office and am really loving the programs. However, when I
send a document to my Microsoft Office contacts they are telling me they
cannot open the file. When I send it to my husbands laptop which has
Microsoft Office it automatically formats and saves perfectly.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Probably is a version issue, previous versions of Office couldnt open the
Opendocument format. My suggestion is to send it as a PDF, unless they need
to edit the document then send it as a .doc file. Click on Save As..
Microsoft Word Format
