Hi Jagdish Chaudhari,
such a project like a 'Voice Command Module for OpenOffice' is best to
be developed as an OpenOffice.org extension.
Your current approach to download the OpenOffice.org source code and
than modifiying it is IMHO not the right one for a task like this.
What you should do instead is to just install an OpenOffice.org than
ownload the OpenOffice.org SDK and develop an OpenOffice.org extension
that interacts with OpenOffice.org using the OpenOffice.org API. Users
of OpenOffice.org could than simply install your extension to get the
added functionallity. Extensions can be developed in various
programming languages. You will find help on using the OpenOffice.org
API in the Developer´s Guide and the IDL reference.
Have a look at the following URLs:

Hello Sir,
Sir, myself, Jagdish Chaudhari, am an IT engineering
student, studying from Mumbai University, in Vidyalankar Institute of
Technology. As my final year project, I have taken up OpenOffice as my
domain. I needed a bit of advice and suggestions from you in this
regards.
Let me first tell you about my project topic. The project under
consideration is 'Voice Command Module for OpenOffice'. As the name
implies, we, my project team, intend to incorporate and implement
voice commands on OpenOffice software. The general OpenOffice commands
like Open a file, Cut + Copy + Paste and many more will be executed
using voice commands. As an initial step, we have planned of using
Speech-to-Text Converter and Java's Speech API for converting voice
into text. This text will be used for executing further logic and
commands for implementing the desired functionality.
We have downloaded the OpenOffice source code from the following URL :
http://www.filestube.com/search.html?q=download+OOo_3.x.x_src_core.tar.bz2.
However, we are not very sure about the actual proceeding with regards
to this source code. Many issues like finding the root file of the
complete hierarchy of the package, implementing or runucning the code
and studying it, etc., are blocking our path.
Hence, it's our sincere request to you to offer your valuable
suggestions in this regard, advice regarding the further proceedings
and if possible, some references to any particular books, links or
developers to whom we can concern to, for study.
We will be highly grateful to you if you can help us.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Yours sincerely,
Jagdish Chaudhari
