I can't figure out how to build a version with support for newer
versions of Python. Can I hire you to help? Or can you point me in a
more specific direction? Where are the patches you mention? I'm really
starting to feel the pressure to get unoconv to work on Mac OS X Leopard
Server.
Thanks so much!

I am willing to help fund the Python on Mac effort, if that helps.
Well, there is no funding needed - the patches are all there, you can
grab them and build a copy that includes a complete python
installation.
It is about changing the default, about changing people's opinion
At the time when I wrote the patches, I also asked about it on the
mailinglist, with only little interest..

but as I'm neither using python nor the Mac that much, I myself
didn't
push it any further.
