Hi,
For those of you on the Dev list that are not on the Design list, here's
Sheila's e-mail on dogfood feedback. If you are interested in dogfood
discussion (hearing what users may have to say is interesting even if
you do not feel like participating...) you may want to sign on the
Design list.
This will be the last cross-posting on this issue (I promise!... :) )
Cheers,
- Philippe

Over the past couple of weeks, people on the team have started to
"Dogfood" the 0.6 release. The design team has already started
getting feedback via a number of different channels, bugzilla, the
design list, direct email etc. Especially since we will be trying to
use the calendar day-to-day at OSAF, we felt it was time to think
about initiating a more formal process for handling this.
Some people will find bugs, which we encourage you to log in
bugzilla. We also anticipate a wide range of comments, feature
suggestions, wish lists, nits etc. Since we expect to have more of
these as time goes on, it's probably unreasonable that we can address
every issue promptly and individually on the design list. Our plan is
to collect this feedback and initiate a regular design meeting where
we will go through these items and address them. The start and
frequency of these sessions will depend on the amount of feedback we
receive. The design team will begin meeting regularly when we reach
some critical mass of feedback, likely shortly after the 0.6 release
(perhaps before).
In order for us to make sure we capture all this input, please send
an email to the design list ([email protected]) with "Dogfood
Feedback" in the subject line. The feedback can be anything from a
list in email or link to a wiki page. This way, you can share your
feedback with others, and it will enable us to collect this
information in an organized fashion. After every "dogfood" design
meeting, will send a update to the design list summarizing how the
issues were processed.
Thanks,
Sheila
