Hi Jiayi, I like the overall direction of the proposal, I think there still might be some technical details to workout. Could you please start a discuss thread to give it more visibility? Also I think for book-keeping we should either: Update: https://github.com/apache/parquet-format/issues/530 to be general footer improvements or close it out and create a new proposal. Looking at the issue it also appears like there might be more detailed code changes to go along with the doc, are these ready to review (sorry if I missed the link in the doc)?
