As far as I remember most of the jdk related issues were about font rendering
and those don't matter any more, now that we are doing our own font fendering.
Some issues were related to specific platforms (MacOSX) and others to specific
implementations (JDK vs. OpenJDK) which can't be solved by defining any minimum
requirement.
Are there any other cases left I don't have in mind?
