Just catching up on this conversation. All sounds great. Just wanted to add my
thoughts on the mailing list vs GitHub discussions suggestions.
Even though its convenient and nice user experience to use GitHub discussions
compared to mailing lists, I must admit I would favor mailing lists more,
especially as the source of truth for all conversations that matter.
GitHub is still an external for profit corporation outside of the ASF and this
project. Chance of them changing direction to cause a change in where we want
to keep our data is higher than using our mailing lists is where I am coming
from.
If I understood the conversation correctly, we do plan to still copy all
conversations on GitHub discussions over to our mailing lists. That is a good
compromise if we do want to use GitHub discussion.
Sorry to be cynical about corporations :-) Foundations more stable in direction
in my opinion.
Thanks all. Excited for this project and Pekko's future.
