I see - good point. So this workaround of the 
CoprocessorHConnection-backdoor-connection-not-kicking-in issue needs to catch 
the exception that would occur in that case and fall back to the standard batch 
mutation call.

Any volunteers to add this catch logic and/or figure out why 
theCoprocessorHConnection-backdoor-connection isn't kicking in as expected?
