Anyways, the patch that I have put up cleans the classes that are not being used anywhere. bq. While we want to support HBase 1.x releases, we have to use the Hadoop Metrics2 APIs directly. It is used in 2 places, which I mentioned in the previous comment. bq. If we move to HBase 2, we can leverage the HBase Metrics API instead. Does that help?
