As an outcome of the discussion in the "Classification of regression issues" thread [1], I added a new section "Policies" to project's "Issue Handling" section [2], which somewhat details the handling of regression issues.
There's still open questions not touched on this site, in particular the escalation problem, raised by Christian Lohmaier in the referenced thread, is not solved yet (but was not in the scope of the regression topic).
