HI,

What are the responsibilities,
quoting or project guidelines:

A Project Lead is responsible for giving guidance and directions for his or her project and its part in the OpenOffice.org effort. The lead is also responsible for:

    * Content
    * Membership management
    * Mail list management
    * Work coordination

A Project Lead may delegate some of these duties. A Project Lead should make sure that questions about his or her project are answered and that a friendly and supportive environment is created. Contributions, mail-list discussions and forum interchanges, as well as issues, and other administrative duties should be handled in an encouraging and productive fashion.

all this is done to fullfill the QA project's misson:
To provide an easy way for volunteers to find, update and better define issues, and to define test processes to validate a build of the Office Suite.

requirements

You must be member of the (QA) project what means you need to have at least observer role in QA. You should have been involved within the OOo community an contributed to QA for a while.

and estimated hours per week?
Good question. the regular admistrative tasks are not that time consuming. (one to two hrs per week). What takes the time is to organize the work within the project.

How influential QA lead is in overall development process?

I'd say .. it is not the position as QA lead itself that gives influence but your contributions to OOo.

Best,

André
