I'm working through my TCM tasks (x86 Mac, Vietnamese), and I have

The "numeric" field won't allow spaces or the + sign which are
present in international telephone numbers.

This is a question about database design ;-) A telefon numer is not a number as it may have spaces and othere characters ( + sign, () ... ). So telefonnumbers are strings. This is not a bug in Base but a constraint of relational database design.

I thought it might be something like this. It's not very logical from the user POV, is it? A telephone "number" is a number to any user. ;)
