we already have a link on 'second level' of the qa sites called:
'current version': http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/ooQA-JoinQA.html
if this is not good enough (i know that everybody wants his link in the
middle of the first page :) i would suggest the 'left pannel' with a
link in the 'project tools' area
