I know this is something that requires voluntary time: I wish I could help, but I don't know enough about OpenOffice.org yet to be of any use.

I know we should focus on the new features, but I don't know where to start.

I did not list all areas Sophie mentioned, as I could not find a relevant issue / spec. So .. this far from being perfect, but the best we can do atm.
