Hi QA community, (cc'd [email protected])

in nearly all past discussions (threads) in the QA list I read about the
annoying job to close all fixed/verified issues. I collect some feedback
from community members and worked with Joerg Jahnke on a proposal that a
recheck of verified issues isn't mandatory anymore.

Read the whole proposal :
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Handle_fixed_verified_issues

While I'd prefer that the verified ones get closed automatically by
EIS directly after integration (that notification is then also a
reminder for the reporter that the issue hit the master and can/should
be double-checked) and not half a year (or some other period) later, I
support the proposal.

Why? What are the benefits?

With this proposal it's up to the owner of an issue to check it again in
Master, if he think the issue has to be checked again. I heard this is
needed/wanted in some cases. Therefore we decided to do not promote the
automated closing of an issue by a tool.
