This depends. If such an issue would be assigned to a person other the submitter (or some issue pool), where others need to handle it, then yes: It would be closed as INVALID. And rightfully so. Submitting issues like this, with the expectation that others should reasonably deal with it, is just wasting those others' time. If an issue is assigned to the submitter, then an description of "." *might* be acceptable. However, an issue has a lifetime, and more than the submitter will encounter it, sooner or later. At least a QA person usually will. And in this case, again a useful description is a must-have. So, all in all, it boils down to: There is no reason to submit such an issue (with such a meaningless description), except laziness. (Note the above is merely about the issue description, not about the other topics of the thread.)
