No, sounds very sensible.
It may well be that no interrogation is needed. If we just ensure that
the selector is always in the appropriate argument on subscribe, I think
it will just be ignored by the C++ broker, the Java Broker will do the
filtering on the server side, and the client side filters will still be
in place for both, but won't get very much exercise when speaking to a
Java Broker.
