Just weighing in here: I think we should absolutely keep the "Apache" and "TM" 
in the logo, though I have two suggestions: 
1: Rearrange the text so that it reads a bit more naturally (ie, top to bottom, 
left to right), so "Apache" above "SDAP" and "TM" to the right of "SDAP"
2: I think "Apache" should be a bit more prominent 

Granted, I'm not a graphic designer by any stretch; these were just my 
immediate thoughts on seeing the proposed design.
